SharkVault publishes original commentary on retro games drawing on a private editorial research corpus of contemporary gaming press. That corpus is used only by SharkVault editorial staff to inform original writing. We do not reproduce third-party text on public pages: no excerpts from strategy guides, FAQs, walkthroughs, or magazine articles.
We do publish game cover art, retrieved from IGDB through the Twitch Developer API under its terms of service. That art remains the copyright of its original publisher and is displayed as identifying imagery for the title being discussed. Rights-holders who object to a specific cover can have it removed on request through the contact below.
If SharkVault later publishes short attributed excerpts as primary-source citations, this policy will be updated to cover per-publisher contact protocols. Our takedown procedure is published on the takedown page.
Rights holders may direct any inquiry — including pre-publication notice of objection to future citation use — to copyright@gamesharklabs.com. Mail is monitored daily and forwarded to GameShark Labs leadership.
For active DMCA notices targeting currently-published material, use the formal procedure on the takedown page instead — that route has documented timelines and counter-notice procedures.
